4th of July Weekend in WaKeeney
July 3rd - Captain America
SkyView Drive-In Theater will be showing Captain America July 3rd. Kids games and a costume contest will take place prior to the movie. Free snack trays for the first 50 cars will be provided! The movie begins at dark.

July 4th - 9am - Firecracker 5K
Trego Recreation Commission's Firecracker 5K is at 9am on July 4th. The race will begin at the intersection of Main St & Russell Ave. You can register for $15 on race day when you arrive. Prizes will be awarded to the winners!
11:15 - Bike Decorating & Parade
Bring your child's bike to the courthouse square for some fun, America themed decorating! Some supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. After decorating, join the bike parade around the Main Street area.
11:30 - WaKeeney Weenie Roast
It would'nt be the 4th of July without Hotdogs! The first 150 people get a free hotdog, chips, cupcake, and bottle of water in the courthouse square.
12:00 - Apple Pie Eating Contest
12:30 - Outdoor Yard Games
Join us in the Courthouse Lawn for yard games, relays and old fashioned fun until 2pm!
