Founded in 2021 Trey began his working as a teenager for his Uncle’s landscaping company. They installed a lot of artificial turf. Trey decided to move to Colorado and start his own turf business. While the turf business was successful, Trey kept coming back home. Back home to Hays, Kansas. Back home to his love of midwestern beef. Installing turf across the USA allowed him to sample amazing culinary fare. From Gordon Ramsay Steak to the Bearded Butchers. This only ignited the passion further. Smoking, grilling and cooking meat for his family became a ritual. In 2020, Trey began the process of switching careers from turf to beef. In 2021, he purchased Southfork Processing in Ness City, Kansas. Moeder’s Meats was born.
